Agency of Accreditation is fully operational and making up for the late
start. The Agency is working in two fronts at the same time: preparing and
implementing program evaluation for the public University of Prishtina (with
KAIP support) and evaluation and accreditation of private HE institutions. This
automatically implied a very active month with numerous consultations,
distribution of materials, advise, giving and receiving feedback, contacting and
recruiting external evaluators, etc.
Materials for the evaluation of the University of Prishtina are being processed
and distributed to relevant experts and evaluators.
Private HE institutions have been busy preparing their self-assessment report
and applications for accreditation. This involved intensive consultations (over
30 meetings during November for this purpose alone). The Agency provided info to
all these inquiries also consulting with the relevant department of the MEST
whenever necessary (especially on legal aspects).
All materials (standards, criteria and procedures) and detailed information
needed in the frame of the accreditation process for both the public University
and for private institutions have been made available on the KAA web page. Also
whenever found necessary, direct consultations and meetings took place to
clarify all points in a direct communication.
