3. Kosovo Centre for International Higher Education and Technology Co-operation – K-CIRT

Seminar
K-CIRT and KAIP jointly organized the first in the series of three seminars and workshops on “European programs in RTD”. The first seminar took place on 17 and 18 November and was run by Dr. Klauss Schuch and Mag. Elke Dall. The event received strong support and was visited by Minister Enver Hoxhaj (who also addressed the seminar giving a succinct view and vision on RTD in Kosovo), and other senior MEST officials, who also attended the works of the seminar. All participants, including members of the K-CIRT Board, ministry officials, K-CIRT staff and independent experts in the field of research saw the event as extremely important and useful for the further developments in the Kosovo RTD and for international cooperation in the field.

10:00 How does FP7 function practically? Financial regulations, participation rules, work programs, etc.

11:00 Work of a National FP& Contact Point – What are the tasks and functions of national contact p[oints? What are the needed competencies to serve as a NCP? What would be the best model for a NCP in Kosovo?

12:00 – 13:00 What could be the contribution of Kosovo – Austria Partnership Project? What are the next steps?

Further steps:
The seminar will be followed by two more events in early 2009 (February and April).
