Introduction
Dear Reader,
During the month of November the highlights in the KAIP project were:
- The 6th Steering Board meeting of the project took place in Prishtina
and made several decisions for the further steps in this project.
- Kosovo NARIC office was officially inaugurated and announced in a press
event. This KAIP component and the Kosovo NARIC Center are considered to be
fully operational.
- Study trip of University of Prishtina Senate members to the Central
European University in Budapest and to various institutions in Vienna
- During this study trip the UP Senate members worked on a strategic
concept paper moderated by Prof. Helmut Karner.
- At University Prishtina a language training program for teaching staff
started. We had more participants then ever expected: up to 100! This also
needed an increase of the budget in this module, which was given by the
steering board.
- The visit of the president of the European University Association (EUA)
was a very good sign for the Higher Education System in Kosovo.
Many other activities are underway, including seminars and study trips for
CITT, K-CIRT and the National Research Council. In general, we can say that
the research aspects of the multidimensional project (apart from research
calls published last year and under implementation), which are a large share
of our components and activities will take of soon positive results are
expected.
